Cats of various breeds will take part at the fourth International Cat Show, which is being organised by the World Cat Foundation (WCF) and Indian Cat Foundation (ICF) in the city on Sunday. Awards will be presented to cat owners under various categories of competition, after the cats are adjudicated by qualified international judges.
“This is for the first time that a cat show is being organised in Hyderabad. There is no need for cats to learn any kind of tricks. The only precondition for participation is that the cats should be regularly vaccinated. We urge cat lovers and owners to participate in the event and learn more about them from experts who will come from all parts of the country,” said ICF president Shree Nair.
Those who intend to participate can send an email to indiancatfederation@gmail.com . They also can register on the day of the show – by 9 a.m. on Sunday, at the venue, JRC Conventions, Film Nagar. Entries will be limited to 100 and provided on a first-come-first-served basis.
Entry is free for the general public from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“This will be a great platform for families in Hyderabad to appreciate and learn more about cats. We want to make such an event an annual affair here,” ICF officials said. For details, visit www.indiancat federation.org .
