A 36-day-old baby girl was found dead in the water sump of her house in Rajendranagar on Wednesday. Police suspect mother of the infant Sabah Begum killed her before dumping the body in the sump. Begum is second girl child in the family. Police said the neighbours had told them that the baby’s parents expected a male child and were unhappy over the birth of second girl child. They used to frequently quarrel over the matter.

A case of suspicious death was registered.
