In the State, girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 99.13 per cent as against a figure of 98.66 per cent. Among the 6,111 students from 86 schools who took the exam in the State, 3,363 were boys and 3,348 girls.

Students from Hyderabad excelled in the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) 10 class results, registering a 98.90 percentage pass in the results declared on Wednesday.

Girls pip boys

As is wont, girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 99.13 per cent as against a figure of 98.66 per cent.

Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, achieved 100 per cent results for the second consecutive year, with all 210 students clearing the exam.

School principal R.S. Khatri said more than 25 students secured 90 per cent and above while Rachita Dash topped the school with 96.5 per cent.

Niraj Public School said all 91 students passed the examination, with 88 of them securing distinction and remainder passing in first class.

About 36 students secured 90 per cent and above with Chinmayi Lanka topping the school with 95.3 per cent.

Kalpa School principal Ayesha Jeelani said all the 61 students passed, with 10 students scoring above 90 per cent. Satya Sajja stood first in the school with 97.4 per cent marks.

Students of Gitanjali Devshala too excelled in ICSE exams. Aishwarya Chandra topped, scoring 581/600 in six subjects and also attained the highest in the best-of-five with 97.2 per cent. Principal Madhvi Chandra said 28 students scored about 90 per cent, and 64 out of 78 students secured distinction.
