Relatives of B. Nagaraju, the 26-year-old father of two, alleged that his employer’s son had murdered him.

The relatives, including wife of Nagaraju, were present at Osmania General Hospital to claim his body after autopsy. Hailing from Suryapet, the family said Nagarju was employed for two years by a bureaucrat in Hyderabad. They said the accused, Venkat Sukrut, the 20-year-old son of the IAS officer, had struck Nagaraju with a bottle on his head and also punched him on the left side of his chest, resulting in his death.

“My husband used to drive him out and he did not tell us if there were any issues between the two. I don’t know why Venkat killed Nagaraju. I am now left without any support,” said Nagaraju’s wife Jamuna. Another family member alleged that Venkat attacked Nagaraju in a state of drunkenness.

The police have taken the youth into custody as a case was registered.
