Hyderabad to host meet on technical education reforms

A two-day international conference beginning in Hyderabad from tomorrow will discuss a host of issues related to reforms in technical education in the backdrop of global trends.

Distinguished missile scientist and Scientific Adviser to the Defence Minister V K Saraswat will be the chief guest for the inaugural programme and Wipro Technologies (Hyderabad) Vice—President T S Krishnamurthy will participate as the guest of honour at ‘Reforms in Technical Education -Global Trends

The event, being organised by the Osmania University (OU), will serve as a platform for industrial, engineering institutions and regulatory bodies to discuss common issues and evolve new strategies for improving the effectiveness of functioning of technical education institutions, OU’s College of Engineering Principal A Venugopal Reddy told reporters on Thursday.

“The main objective of the conference is to provide common platform to industry, academia and other stake holders and to discuss and deliberate on issues and to come out with guidelines to improve quality of technical education,” Mr. Reddy said.
