The city police on Saturday busted a drug racket by arresting three persons, including a Kenya national.

Twelve grams of high quality of cocaine were seized from Kenyan Job Kailikia Kaumeuru (25) and his associates V. Ravikanth (36) and G. Moses (42), both natives of Rajahmundry, Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma told reporters here on Saturday.

Kaumeuru came to India on a student visa in July 2011 and was staying in Bangalore. He was studying in a college at Indiranagar in Bangalore where he came in contact with another Kenyan Jose.

Kaumeuru started assisting Jose in selling cocaine to customers. On Friday, Kaumeuru took 12 grams of cocaine from Jose and came to the city to sell it to Ravikanth and Moses here. He had also planned to sell it to other known persons to earn huge money. He was waiting at Masab Tank along with his two associates when police nabbed them.

The Commissioner said investigations were on to verify their links with local and foreign drug peddlers.
