Hudhud relief: Centre to give another Rs.1, 000 cr.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has reportedly agreed to release an additional Rs.1,000 crore to Andhra Pradesh towards meeting the post-Hudhud restoration and relief works.

Union Minister of State for Science Y. S. Chowdhary had a meeting with Mr. Jaitley, Union Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha and Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday at New Delhi, where the finances to be given to A.P. were believed to have been discussed.

According to official sources, Mr. Jaitley also assured to consider releasing another Rs.1,000 crore towards compensating A.P. government’s deficit budget this year, but wanted the State to send the details instead of mere estimates.
