Mother, two daughters commit suicide in Nizamabad

A housewife Jodu Vinoda (27) along with her two daughters Nandini (5) and Soumya (five months) committed suicide by jumping into the Pocharam canal in their native village Akkampally under Tandur gram panchayat limits of Nagireddypet mandal, on Tuesday morning.

Vinoda, wife of Jodu Sailu, an autorikshaw driver used to quarrel everyday after the birth of second daughter. Sailu reportedly harassed her for giving birth to a female child in her second delivery. They had a quarrel on Monday night also and allegedly unable to bear the torture she decided to end life along with her daughters.

After throwing daughters into the canal in which water was released from the Pocharam project recently to fill irrigation tanks for this summer, she also jumped into it, according to information reaching here.

She belonged to Erraram village in the same mandal. Both of her parents had died, but is survived by two elder brothers Durgaiah and Kantham. The police under the supervision of Circle Inspector of Police Ramakrishna and Sub-Inspector of Police Satish Reddy fished out the bodies, the police said.
