House site patta distribution from June 2

The Cabinet has decided to distribute house site pattas for encroachments on government lands up to 125 square yards from the State Formation Day on June 2. The measure is aimed to regularise encroachments as decided by the government a few months ago. The government had received 3.36 lakh applications for regularisation but only one lakh of them were found to fit into the category of holdings less than 125 square yards.

The meeting chaired by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao also decided to convene a meeting of the legislature party of Telangana Rashtra Samiti on May 29 to finalise the strategy .
