Income-tax officials on Thursday carried out a raid in the house of G. Amarender Reddy, a close friend of former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills, here to verify tax evasion in his real estate business.
A top official of the investigation wing of I-T Department, however, refused to disclose details of the search. It is learnt that the returns of income filed by Mr. Reddy omitted certain transactions of business.
