Cloud-based enterprise performance management (EPM) solutions provider Host Analytics plans to invest $25 million on expanding its research and development centre in Hyderabad as well as doubling the headcount of the facility.

The investment is to be made over three years, a timeframe within which the company will also hire 150 more people for the R&D centre, CEO David A.Kellogg told presspersons here on Monday.

Of the 300 people the Silicon Valley-headquartered firm employed now, 150 are based out of the Hyderabad facility. The new facility, coming up near the existing centre in Madhapur, would enhance capacity for engineering, product testing besides R&D.

Stating that Host Analytics was founded simultaneously in India and the US, he pointed out that the “dynamic business environment that has emerged in recent years make expansion in the region a strategic imperative in the next phase of product engineering growth.”

A release from the company said the plan is to recruit 150 professionals with R&D and design expertise in cloud EPM. The hiring would be for technology, design and operational roles with new workforce entrants from top engineering schools. To queries on fintech firms, especially start-ups in Hyderabad, Mr.Kellogg said Host Analytics was open to acquiring companies.
