Home guard killed in road accident

A home guard was killed in a road accident in the early hours of Sunday at Balapur. The police said B. Saideep (28) had gone to his relative’s house at Bandlakunta on Saturday night to attend a function.

At around 1. 30 a.m. he started for his home on a bike. As he reached Balapur his vehicle skidded on the road. He sustained grievous injuries leading to his death. Meerpet police registered a case.

Succumbs to burns

A 30-year-old man undergoing treatment for burns succumbed at the Osmania General Hospital on Saturday. According to the police, the victim G. Yadiah of Bheemarana village in Shadnagar came in contact with an electric transformer on March 8. He was shifted to OGH for treatment but succumbed to his injuries. The police have registered a case.

Found murdered

An unidentified person aged between 35 and 40 years was found murdered at Balapur on Sunday. According to police the body bore injuries on the chest and the head was found lying near the YAR Garden function hall at Balapur. Police suspect the man was murdered by some persons after consuming toddy. The Pahadesharif police registered a case and are investigating.
