A home guard with the city police committed suicide by taking poison at his house on Wednesday. Police said V. Narsing Rao (29), deputed at the Police Commissioner’s office (old), resorted to the extreme step after his wife had failed to pool in money for the construction of their house. He died while undergoing treatment at Osmania hospital.
Woman commits suicide
Housewife Naseema Begum (26) of Asadbabanagar in Kishanbagh committed suicide by hanging herself at her house late on Tuesday night. Reasons for her suicide are being ascertained, police said.
Plumber found dead
A plumber, Anil Kumar (35), of Nandavanam Colony in Karmanghat died under mysterious circumstances. According to police, Anil consumed toddy at Karmanghat on Tuesday night and was found dead on Wednesday morning. The Saroornagar police are investigating.
Train runs over man
An unidentified person aged 45 years was killed after being run over by a train between Hafeezpet and Hi-Tec City stations on Wednesday morning. The deceased was wearing ash colour trousers and shirt and has a tattoo written in Telugu reading ‘Bahadur’ on his right forearm. The body has been preserved at Osmania General Hospital mortuary.
