The Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Limited claimed that it supplied close to 40,000 saplings to various individuals and organisations as part of its ‘Vanadeeksha’ programme. It targeted to plant 50,000 trees each year for the next five years in various parts of the twin cities.

HMR also invited representatives of colonies, youth organisations, NGOs and the residential welfare associations seeking saplings in bulk to come armed with written requests from their respective associations to the Metro Rail Bhavan office in Saifabad. HMR is also on Facebook now – www.facebook.com/hmrlgov.
