The Govt. issued orders on Friday asking the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to bear the expenditure of registration charges for the 1000 sq. yards plot belonging to farmers, who gave their land for the Musi River Conservation and River Front Development at Uppal. The order directed the HMDA to register the plots as conveyance deed and pay the charges on behalf of beneficiaries. The expenditure incurred would be reimbursed by the govt. in due course as additional funds.
Major exemptions
The Uppal MLA, N.V.S.S. Prabhakar, in a statement here, thanked Chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao for releasing the GO in favour of Uppal Bagayat farmers, exempting them from stamp duty and registration fees, and land conversion.
