History-sheeter, 2 bootleggers held

Hyderabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy invoked AP Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act against a history-sheeter and two bootleggers from Mangalhat police station on Tuesday. K Ramesh against whom a history sheet is maintained at the Mangalhat police station is involved in 13 cases. Two other bootleggers Sanjay Singh alias Chor Sanjay and Sunil Singh have 21 cases and eight cases respectively against them. They were detained by the police and sent to Central Prison Cherlapalli.

The West Zone police conducted a cordon and search operation at Shahinayathgunj police station limits early on Tuesday. The police seized 20 vehicles and 1,600 ID liquor sachets. Twenty suspects and six history sheeters were also detained. Around 400 police personnel under the supervision of DCP (West) A Venkateshwara Rao participated in the exercise.
