August 02, 2013 11:05 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 10:05 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Justice Nooty Ramamohana Rao of the AP High Court on Friday permitted flower decoration and replacing of the plastic sheet over the Bhagyalakshmi temple near Charminar. The judge made it clear that there shall not be any expansion in whatsoever manner.

These interim orders were passed in a writ petition filed by Shashikala on behalf of the temple.

The petitioner told the court that the old sheet which protects devotees from sun and rain was torn and the police were refusing permission to replace the sheet and also decorate the temple with flowers for the Bonalu festival.

The court felt that the torn sheets, flexes could be replaced and flower decoration be done but without any change to the existing structure.
