Responding to a report ‘Where Justice Scores a Nought’ that highlighted the travails of Md. Ameeruddin, father of Dilsukhnagar blast victim Md. Rafiuddin, who had to run from pillar to post for a government job, Hyderabad district authorities on Monday maintained that all efforts were made to reach out to the victim’s family.

“As per rules, copies of documents like study certificate and proof of educational qualification have to be submitted for a government job. The Tahsildar of Bandlaguda was deputed to the victim’s residence to guide them in this regard,” authorities said.

Ameeruddin nominated his second son Md. Aleemuddin for a job and he has tentatively opted for the post of sweeper at Government ENT Hospital, Koti. “Mr. Aleemuddin was not able to produce his class 7 study certificate, as he says that the school in which he studied is now closed down. The DEO of Hyderabad was instructed to help Mr. Aleemuddin to trace the study certificate. In the absence of the same, as per rules, he will be eligible for other jobs, authorities said.
