The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places across Telangana over the weekend with a cyclonic storm developing over the Bay of Bengal. Light to moderate rainfall has also been predicted in several areas. Else, the southwest monsoon has been weak in the State.

Several places in Khammam, including Palawancha, Sathupalle, Kothagudem, Bhadrachalam, received rainfall in the last 24 hours.
