Heat wave continues

Heat wave conditions continued to prevail with temperatures in most of the centres in all the three regions of the State hovering between 42 and 43 degree Celsius.

For the third successive day, Hyderabad remained under the spell of intense heat wave with mercury on Sunday rising to 42 degree Celsius.

Other districts under heat wave include Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore in coastal AP, Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda and Karimnagar in Telangana and Chittoor in Rayalseema.

According to the forecast of IMD Hyderabad, heat wave will continue to remain intense for the next 48 hours in these regions.

On Sunday, temperature in Ramagundam was 41.9 degree C, Nizamabad and Kurnool recorded a maximum of 43.4 degree Celsius, Nellore received 41 degrees, Tirupati was at 42.5 degrees and maximum temperature at Anantapur was 40 degree Celsius.
