More than 50 participants working on over 20 different ideas participated in the finals of Healthcare Devthon organised by BioAsia 2015 here on Sunday.

A statement said this was the first-of-its-kind event in the healthcare sector, where engineers and designers would spend more than 30 hours developing prototypes to address key healthcare challenges.

An initiative by BioAsia in partnership with Government of Telangana, Apollo Hospitals, Kamineni Life Sciences, L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, BITS Pilani, HyderabadHackers and HYSEA, the Healthcare Devthon has been conducted over the last three weeks.

At the end of a prototyping session, the teams presented their ideas to a jury which reviewed and selected six ideas that would be showcased at BioAsia 2015, to be held on February 2 to 4. – Special Correspondent
