The Health Minister, Dr. C. Laxma Reddy, on Saturday treated a few patients at Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda, in response to TRS head and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s call to raise funds for the party’s foundation day by doing ‘coolie’.

After changing the bandage of a patient, he wheeled him to the ICU and recorded the blood pressure of another patient at the OP Department of the hospital.

Dr. Laxma Reddy said the work followed the suggestion of the Chief Minister to earn money towards the travel expenses to attend the party’s programme in Warangal on April 27.

Earlier, the Yashoda Hospitals Managing Director, Dr. G. S. Rao, and senior officials welcomed Dr. Reddy and handed to him a cheque for Rs.5 lakh for the services he rendered, according to a press release on Saturday.
