“I wish to state that I have serious threat to my life and my family members from the top brass of the HCA,” said Hyderabad Cricket Association secretary T. Seshnarayan in a statement here on Tuesday.

“Ever since I have been reinstated by virtue of the High Court Order (which revoked the suspension imposed on him by the HCA Apex Council on disciplinary grounds earlier), I am being harassed by the members of the Apex Council for no fault of mine even as they are illegally taking away all my powers,” the secretary stated.

“I have been verbally abused by the Apex Council members time and again and being subjected to humiliations, and worse - they are making their own by-laws bypassing me as secretary,” Mr. Seshnarayan said. “Even yesterday, I was asked to leave the Apex Council meeting of which I am the convenor. I seek the intervention of Chief Minister who is our chief patron to protect me from these persons,” he appealed.

False allegations

“They are trying to once again indulge in false allegations against me and threatening to issue show-cause notice in spite of the Hon’ble Ombudsman rejecting their earlier orders of suspension as illegal,” the HCA secretary said.

“I seek justice from the Chief Minister and the members of HCA in protecting the institution from these persons. I have all documented proof of their illegal activities and misappropriation of HCA funds from January to till date,” he said in the statement.

“The Hon’ble High Court has directed for convening of SGM to adopt the Supreme Court-approved Lodha Committee recommendations by second week of June 2018. The counsel for HCA gave an undertaking to abide by the directions. So, in the circumstances whatever is being presumed and assumed are infructuous and invalid interpretations,” the HCA secretary said.

“I therefore request the members to respect and follow our by-laws in true spirit and understanding, rather than confront it,” Mr. Seshnarayan said.
