A local court here on Friday rejected the bail petition of the real-estate businessman, Gowri Shankar Gupta, who was arrested in connection with a case of impersonation and criminal breach of trust filed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).
It, however, extended his police custody for three more days to enable investigators collect more information from him, said senior public prosecutor M. Laxman Rao. The Central Crime Station (CCS) officials, who are investigating the case, filed a petition in the court seeking extension of Gupta’s police custody that concluded on Thursday.
Gupta is accused of creating fabricated documents of DLF Company for getting lease of 24 acres land at Moosapet for developing a project.
He is also facing two more criminal cases registered at the CCS, after the DLF Company complained that he had defrauded them of Rs.280 crore.
