It’s just not a retail store. It’s an experience, even though its grocery shopping. Walk into Ruci and Idoni, the food market and you will know what we’re talking about.

The softly lit interiors of the store which opened recently at GVK One, Mall at Banjara Hills welcomes shoppers where there is a lot to choose from. Right from Indian foods, dals, spices to gourmet foods, exotic cheese, fast foods and pastries, Ruci and Idoni is a foodies delight.

Separate sections

With a separate section for fruits and vegetables, non-alcoholic drinks and even a separate area for candy and sweets, the variety it offers is mind blowing.

Moreover, the store boasts of an international feel with very subtle colour schemes and modern space planning all designed by Cada, a London based company.

‘International feel’

“When you come into Ruci and Idoni, it is an international experience which comes with Indian prices. Shoppers can find everything right from the most exotic fruits to regular stuff, the place is a world of flavours. We have brought everything and set it up under one roof to make sure that people have a complete shopping experience,” said V. Gokul Krishna, Chief Executive Officer of Ruci and Idoni, during the launch.

Candy section

Interestingly, the store houses a candy and sweets section where children can mix and match a variety of candy and get it packed. But this is not all. Hot bread, pastries, Indian sweets and organic vegetables are also available.

“We have got people who are passionate about food and our chefs make some of the tastiest stuff,” said Mr. Krishna. So next time if you are at GVK One just step in at Ruci and Idoni, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
