Gopi inaugurates sports clinic

A state-of-the-art sports injuries clinic was inaugurated at Care Hospitals’ in Banjara Hills by India’s chief badminton coach P. Gopichand on Friday. Care Hospitals chairman B. Soma Raju said the clinic would help in proper assessment of sports injuries, musculoskeletal imaging, arthroscopy surgery and sports rehabilitation.

Hospital officials said the orthopaedic wing had surgeons trained in the management of sports injuries with arthroscopy equipment, an upgraded radiology and physiotherapy wings.

The hospital’s orthopaedic surgeons advised sportspersons to give due importance to stretching exercises and warming up before they began training.
