There was overwhelming response to the job mela organized by the District Rural Development Organisation (DRDO) and Employment Generation and Marketing Mission (EGMM) in the Dharmapuri temple town of Jagtial district on Thursday.
A total of 31 companies and firms attended the job mela. Over 2,500 youth seeking employment in IT sector have participated in the job mela.
The companies after examining the certificates and conducting interviews have selected 875 persons and handed over appointment letters and another 642 were short-listed for second phase of interviews.
Government Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar, who inaugurated the mela, called upon the rural youth to utilize the opportunities to secure an employment.
Stating that all the youth cannot employment in government sector, he informed the youth to secure employment in other sectors where they would encouraged for their talent. Collector A. Sharath, DRDO project officer Arunasri and others were present.
