Several sections of the website of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), which provide vital information on announcements, notifications, results and regulations to MBBS and post-graduate students, are non-functional for the past fortnight.
Medicos and MBBS students from Hyderabad, who visit the website on a daily basis to check for inquiries and notices, are unable to access information because website pages are either not loading or taking a lot of time to load.
The message ‘The page cannot be found’ in several sections of the website (http://ntruhs.ap.nic.in) is all one gets to see whenever medical students and the general public attempt to access the website.
Error message
“We were expecting results of our internal exams to be posted in the website on June 24. However, many sections are not getting loaded. An error message gets displayed on a static web page and this is frustrating. We have already complained to our faculty,” said Dr. Sagar, a Gandhi Hospital medico.
Sections like announcements, contact us, library and on occasions even the home page of the website does not load. “There are also errors in the website,” complains Dr. Anjali, another junior doctor from the Government Chest Hospital.
Like most government websites, the design and hosting of NTRUHS website was done by the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
NIC not in picture
However, when contacted, NIC officials here said they were not handling the website maintenance anymore. “NTRUHS authorities do not have any agreement with us,” NIC officials said.
