Give the auto driver his due

When all other transportation fails, it is the auto-rickshaw driver who ensures that the people reach their destinations. Most of them happen to be graduates, who lack opportunity and resources, and have therefore come to the city. I would like to draw the attention of our CM towards them. It is time to organise their employment and ensure their sustainability.

Generate energy from garbage I request the CM to implement a policy whereby energy is generated from garbage that is collected from each street and house. Recently, a TV show featured a small town near Gulbarga, where a similar process was implemented, turning it into a clean city.

This happened because every citizen contributes to the cleanliness. Your vision will be achieved if we look into this very seriously.

Time-bound service delivery I would like the CM to ask all departments to respond to public grievances within a stipulated time-frame. As of now, there is no transparency and accountability in the way the RTOs, GHMC, Electricity Board, Water Board and other government organisations function. Red tape and corruption have brought a bad name to governance in the past 10 years.

Effective implementation of a Citizens Charter and timely action in clearing of files by officials should be taken care of. Government employees are taking citizens for a ride, harassed for getting small things done. The CM should punish officials who neglect their duty and reward those who perform well.
