Elections to the GHMC's 15-member Standing Committee presided over by Mayor B. Kartika Reddy will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the head office on Wednesday.
Nineteen candidates including two Telugu Desam corporators, one Bharatiya Janata Party corporator and a Congress rebel who had filed nominations as an Independent are in the fray.
Eight official Congress corporators and seven Majlis corporators too are in the fray and they are expected to romp home comfortably since the allied parties have a majority of 99 members in the 150 corporator council.
All the corporators are allowed to vote tomorrow and results will be declared later in the evening.
