GHMC officials undertake inspection

Work related to SRDP given priority

Senior officials at Telangana Municipal Administration, the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) and other government departments undertook a whirlwind tour of the city on Saturday, inspecting ongoing works and visiting sites with civic issues. The team consisting of Navin Mittal, Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD), the GHMC Commissioner, B. Janardhan Reddy, Dana Kishore, MD – Hyderabad Water Board, NVS Reddy, MD – Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) and others inspected works pertaining to junction improvement, road widening and water stagnation points.

The team inspected the works at Nagarjuna Circle, Muffakham Jah engineering college road , Srinagar colony Junction, Jubilee Hills check post, KBR Park, Hi-tech City, Kondapur etc. The officials found that footpaths at KBR Park were badly damaged and gave necessary instructions to take up the restoration works immediately. It was also decided that the works related to SRDP (Strategic Road Development Plan) which included road widening, taken up at KBR Park, Jubilee Hills check post etc., where the flyover was coming up, would be taken up on priority basis. On the Jubilee Hills-Madhapur stretch they ordered for the repair of potholes, removal of waste materials.

The team visited Botanical Garden at Kondapur and participated in Haritha Haram.
