GHMC demolishes 10 buildings

The Town Planning and Engineering wings of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) demolished 10 dilapidated and unsafe buildings on Thursday. The buildings were located in Seriligampally, Amberpet, Kapra, and Secunderabad.

The GHMC has demolished 37 buildings and referred 152 buildings to the Engineering Department for an opinion on their structural stability this year.

The officials said that a such drive will continue, and appealed to the people not reside in weak buildings.

With incidents of buildings collapses increasing during the monsoon season since the last few years, the GHMC has intensified its drive to bring down such structures.
