GHMC Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy said lake protection committees will be formed with local people and officials in order to curb throwing of garbage into lakes.
Mr. Reddy on Tuesday, visited lakes in the Karwan constituency including the Shah-Hatim Talab, Hakimpet Kunta, Nadeem Cheruvu, Jamai Kunta, Katora Houz and others, along with Karwan MLA Kausar Mohinuddin.
Mr. Reddy also directed the officials to clean the Katora Houz of water hyacinth, and urged the legislator to ensure handing over of five acre extent near Golconda police station for construction of double bedroom flats.
