Free Wi-Fi facility

The GHMC has decided to provide free Wi-Fi facility in frequently visited places of the city and earmarked Rs.10 crore for the purpose in its annual budget. The new concepts incorporated in the budget announced on Thursday included setting up eLibraries with computers and electronic equipment at 200 locations with Rs.25 crore.

The civic body which for long has been vainly struggling to rationalise the house numbering in the city has now come up with a new concept of introducing 8-digit address under smart address for which Rs.5 crore have been earmarked.
