Four pocket pickers held in Hyderabad

The city police on Wednesday arrested a four member gang who were allegedly involvement in pocket picking and relieving women of their gold chains. The police recovered one kilogram of gold at their instance.

The gang members Avula Ganesh (40), Golla Suresh (25), B Prashanth Kumar (28) and Boya Durga (36) moved around crowded public transport buses and on getting opportunity relieved gold chains from women, DCP (North) R. Jaya Laxmi said.

A total of 24 cases were registered against them in various police stations of North Zone, the highest being in Mahankali police staition – 8, Gopalapuram (7) Market p s, Bowenpally and Marredpally (2); Kharkhana p s, Bollaram and Begumpet one each. Ganesh and Durga were caught on similar charges earlier.

A special team was formed headed by Sub Inspector MSV Kishore nabbed them.
