Four killed as RTC bus rams auto

Four passengers of an autorickshaw were killed and three others received grievous injuries when the vehicle was hit by an RTC bus coming in the opposite direction near Dharmapuri, eight kms from Mahabubnagar town, on Raichur highway, on Thursday.

The victims included two aged women Anjamma (55) and Laxmamma (60) and one of their grand daughters Sirish (4). Another grand daughter Sindhuja (8) was injured. The fourth person who died was S.D. Khaja (45). All of them were natives of Mahbubnagar town and were proceeding to meet their relatives in villagesPolice said the bus of Mahabubnagar depot was coming from Devarakadra when it rammed the ill fated three-wheeler while overtaking another autorickshaw.
