A charge-sheet was filed against four Hyderabadis in a special court at New Delhi on Tuesday. These four accused were arrested along with 14 others from different parts of the country in a pan-India operation by National Investigation Agency about six months ago.

While two of the arrested turned approvers and were granted conditional pardon, the prime accused Yusuf-Al-Hind alias Shafi Armar is still at large. The first charge-sheet was filed on June 6 against accused No. 1 Mohammed Naser.

Absconding Armar of Bhatkal in Karnataka is believed to be operating from Syria and acting as media in-charge of Islamic State (IS).

To lure youth

The four Hyderabadis, along with their associates from Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Mumbai and Aurangabad, are accused of forming a group called Junood-ul-Khilafa-Fil-Hind to establish Caliphate in India with allegiance to terror outfit IS. They allegedly wanted to lure Muslim youngsters to join IS and execute terror attacks in the country.

Investigators said in the charge-sheet that Armar used to interact with them over Internet-based social media networks. Scientific evidence about the explosive material and comparison of the voice sample of the accused collected was positive, experts told the investigators. Some of the accused had managed to make Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) using the material.

Two other youngsters, who were associated with the four Hyderabadis, from the city flew to Syria and were fighting there on behalf of the IS. Their fate is not known to any of the arrested Hyderabadis - Mohammed Nafees Khan, Abu Anas, Mohammed Shareef Moinuddin Khan and Mohammed Obedullah Khan.
