Four die in road accidents in Suryapet

They were returning from IPL match

Three cricket lovers from Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh met a tragic end at Chivvemula in Suryapet of Telangana when the car they were travelling in rammed a parked lorry in the early hours of Monday.

Another passenger of the car was critically injured and admitted to a local hospital.

The victims and the injured from Addanki of Prakasam had watched the IPL 2017 cricket match between Deccan Sunrisers and Kolkata Night Riders at Hyderabad on Sunday.

They started for their home town late in the night and were passing by Chivvemula in the small hours of Monday.

On reaching Gumpula Tirumalagiri in Chivvemula, the car crashed into the lorry parked on the roadside from behind. Death was instant for three of them.

In another accident, a constable attached to the one-town police station of Suryapet town died after an unidentified vehicle hit his bike near Kudakuda in Chivvemula.

The accident occurred around Sunday midnight when the constable was returning home on the two-wheeler.
