IICT sends relief material to Chennai flood victims

CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology has despatched relief material for Chennai flood victims.

According to a press release here, one lakh water sachets, 75 cartons of biscuits, 15 cartons of mosquito coils, 100-kg. of bleaching powder and 350 bed sheets were transported to Chennai and handed over to in-charge Director, CSIR-CLRI, Dr. Rose, and flood relief coordinator at CLRI, Dr. Madan.

IICT also proposed to provide a mobile water purifier, which has the ability to clean mud water into clean potable water in such calamities, the release said.
