A division bench of the Hyderabad High Court comprising Justices V. Ramsubrahmanian and A. Shankar Narayana on Thursday ruled that State governments should follow the rules prescribed by the NCC directorate strictly while allotting seats in professional courses.

The bench set aside GO 111 issued in September 2015 by the AP government to the extent that it is in variance with NCC directorate guidelines. The court upheld the decision of Telangana in upgrading the priority of NCC cadets who participated in RDC in Delhi from priority II (e) to II (b) through G.O.Ms.No.75.

Agriculture posts

A division bench comprising Justice PV Sanjay Kumar and Justice M Seetharama Murti on Thursday indicated that Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal (APAT) shall dispose of the petitions of contract employees working in the Agriculture department of Telangana who were seeking relaxation of academic qualifications in recruitment to various posts.

When recruitment for posts in agriculture wing was taking place, temporary employees requested for age relaxation etc. The APAT refused the plea. They then approached the High Court. The bench felt that this issue had to be dealt in detail by the APAT and asked for expeditious adjudication. Till the final judgment was delivered the results would not be published.

Orders upheld

A division bench comprising Justice C. V. Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice Shyam Prasad upheld the order of preventive detention passed against promoters of Dial Easy Network Private Limited and Union Value Services Private Limited.

The bench was dealing with cases filed by Girish Kumar Makhija and a woman, residents of New Delhi, challenging the orders passed under Section 3 of the Telangana Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Dacoits, Drug-offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Land Grabbers Act, 1986.

The police submitted that the two persons were approaching the general public by establishing fake companies and luring people to deposit money in the accounts of the fake companies.
