Five seventh standard girls from Amberpet, who went missing for the past two days after appearing for their final annual exam, were traced in Visakhapatnam on Friday.

A team of Amberpet police had rushed to Visakhapatnam and was returning to city with the five girls when reports last came in. Initially, the police suspected if a dance master of the private school where the five girls were studying could be behind their disappearance.

Classmates

“No outsider was involved in the disappearance of the girls. They were classmates and friends,” Amberpet Inspector A.P. Anand Kumar said. According to him, the five girls collected money from their respective houses without the knowledge of their parents or other family members. sA day after completing the annual exams, they met in one of the girls’ house and decided to go to Visakhapatnam. Stating that they had some practical exam, the five went to Secunderabad railway station and went to Visakhapatnam.

Visit zoo

“Fortunately, one of the girls was carrying a mobile phone. We could track them and traced them while they were visiting the zoo in Vizag,” the Inspector said.
