Five firemen who reportedly consumed liquor and made merry on New Year eve at Moula Ali fire station were suspended by the higher officials on Saturday. The incident became public after one of the firemen who filmed the party uploaded it on social networking sites.
District Fire Officer (East) V Pappiah said that a preliminary enquiry conducted on Saturday morning found the firemen guilty of misconduct and they were suspended immediately.
