Fire broke out in the office of the Commissioner of Information and Public Relations at Masab Tank here gutting furniture and newspapers on Thursday.
The fire started in the ante-room of an executive director around 8 a.m., Nampally Inspector Madhu Mohan Reddy said.
By the time the police and fire service personnel reached the spot, some furniture, newspapers and a refrigerator were burnt. Short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
