The Lok Satta Party has urged the Centre to evolve a solution acceptable to all the regions of the State to end the ongoing impasse over the demand for separate Telangana.

LSP president Jayaprakash Narayan, who participated in the consultations with the Srikrishna Committee here on Wednesday, said the solution should strengthen the federal system and be in line with the hopes of the people of all regions. he Struggle Committee for separate Andhra, however, argued in favour of bifurcation as it was the only way to ensure accelerated development of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. In a power-point presentation made to the panel, struggle committee representatives Ch. Harirama Jogaiah, Vasanta Nageswara Rao and others demanded that Hyderabad be made the second capital of the country “to ensure security of over 40 lakh people from other regions living here”. The Telangana Chamber of Commerce urged the committee to recommend “liberation of Telangana” while a delegation of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) wanted the status quo to be maintained to arrest flight of industries from the State.
