Police booked the case after receiving directions from a local court. The producer, Johnny, approached the court which directed Banjara Hills police to book a case against director Veeru K. and his brother Raju. Johnny told the court that Raju had taken the hard disc containing the film from him, stating that Veeru had to complete post-production work.

Later, Johnny came to know that Veeru and Raju had changed the film’s title and were claiming to be its producers. The duo also released the audio during a function held recently. Johnny said he had spent Rs. 60 lakh for making the film.

Based on his plaint, police have registered a case against Veeru and Raju under IPC Sections 420 (cheating) and 406 (criminal breach of trust).
