Former Congress MLA T. Jayaprakash has alleged that the Government has taken farmers for a ride and failed to address their problems. Addressing a ‘maha dharna’ of farmers here on Friday, he threatened to gherao the Collectorate and Zilla Parishad if title deeds were not extended to farmers within a month.
Some farmers alleged cases are being registered against them for using Singur water, and that they are still paying interest to banks for loans.
