A 40-year-old farmer created furore by climbing a cellphone tower at D.S. Nagar under L.B. Nagar police station limits on Sunday, demanding that the police render justice to him in a land dispute case.
Eswaraiah, of Yacharam mandal in Ranga Reddy district, had sold his farmland to Chanpajit Singh in D.S. Nagar five years ago. Since then Singh has been delaying the payment.
Eswaraiah came to Singh’s house on Sunday and climbed a nearby tower, demanding that police intervene. He called his family members and informed them that he would jump from the tower if justice was not dispensed. The family members then informed the police who pacified the farmer saying that they would settle the issue and brought him down.
