An app that promises to revolutionise health care in rural India was declared the winner of the Imagine Cup India, a student Apps technology competition organised by the Microsoft India in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

The Path Finders team from MR College of Engineering, Faridabad developed the app “Swasthya Sanjivini” that offers quick and affordable health care services. The Path Finders competed with 10 other teams and its App was adjudged as the best.

The team will now represent India in the global competition to be held in Russia in July next. “The app will change the face of health care access in rural areas,” said the team leader Nikhil Dalmia.
