Children with disappointment writ large on their faces greeted the visitors on the third day of the aviation show. Throughout the day, parents with entry passes tried to get their children to the show since it was a weekend.

But they were turned away by the concerned authorities saying the show was open for business visitors and hence, children would only be allowed on Saturday and Sunday.

“I bought a business pass and have come to the show with my daughter. But they are not allowing my daughter in since she is 5 years old. What kind of a rule is this? I am now forced to go back without viewing the show,” said P. Rajmohan, a businessman from Secunderabad.

The day also saw many government employees of HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) and AAI (Airports Authority of India) trying to get in with their families.

“I had got passes from my higher ups since I told them I wanted to take my family to the show. But after coming all the way here, I am being told that my kid cannot enter. This is unfair as I have seen some business people go in with their children,” said an employee of AAI who did not wish to be named.

The officials concerned informed that they had announced earlier that the first three days were purely meant for business and hence children won’t be allowed.
