Case against six unidentified persons filed

Police filed a case against six unidentified persons for forcefully entering the house of a 38-year-old man, allegedly in the guise of police officers, near the Maitrivanam building in Hyderabad and robbing him of gold, laptops and cash.

According to S.R. Nagar police, around 11 p.m. on Monday the accused allegedly forced their way into the house of Jagadish Babu in Annapurna Complex.

They decamped with 20 tolas of gold, 11 laptops, eight smartphones and ₹20,000 cash, police added.

“The complainant is a numerologist. He said that the incident took place around 11 p.m. and he lodged the police complaint at 2 a.m. on Tuesday. According to the complainant, the accused told him that they were from the Anti-Corruption Bureau of another State,” police said.

Police are probing the case from all angles and checking the CCTV footage to identify the accused.

A dacoity and impersonation case has been registered.
